Which Is A Better Career Choice In Terms Of Mobility, And Future Job Prospects? Sonography Or Radiology?

I was looking into Radiologic Technology and Diagnostic Medical Sonography for career choices. It looks like Sonography pays better, but they both have various areas of specialization. Are they basically the same or does either exceed the other in marketability, job prospects, mobility, etc…

Go to Xray school first then pass your boards. Once you are a registered Technologist you can learn on the job and get certified in things such as MRI, CT or Mammography. Also you can go thru a 1 year program of Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Therapy or Sonography. The earning potential for someone who can do it all is much greater than someone with one modality.

Why don’t you go to school for Radiology first, and then once you have that degree you can take a 1 year certification in Sonography. That way you will have both skill sets and can choose which to pursue further. I think they are pretty much equal as far as job prospects.
