Whats The Process Of Switching From A Radiologic Tech To A Radiaton Therapist?

I currently am doing pre reqs to get an AAS degree in Radiologic Technology. I’m thinking that eventually i might want to work in Radation Therapy. Does anyone know whats the process of going into Radation Therapy after getting an Associates as a Radiation Technologist? How much more school is needed in order to do that?

If you really want to do radiation therapy, go right into that. I just researched doing this exact thing. It will take another 2 years full time. There are a handful of programs that are 1 year full time if you are an RT(R), but from what I understand they are not very good quality.
You can find accredited programs here: http://www.jrcert.org/cert/Search.jsp and here: http://arrt.org/index.html?content=http:…
