What was that movie where LL Cool J had a hard time getting an MRI because of all the prison tattoos?
Somebody said it might have been an episode of House or Grey’s Anatomy. I wanted to watch it again to see what they were claiming the danger was. I have tattoos. (From a licensed artist, not prison.)

It was said in the episode that the heavy metals in the ink from the jailhouse tat were pulled at through the skin in the MRI.

but if you have tattoos, you shouldn’t worry too much about getting an MRI. I have many tattoos and had to have an MRI. I was fine. I asked the lady when I was setting up my appointment if my tattoos were going to be a problem. she had me talk to a technician, and he asked me about the placement, age, and colors of the tattoo that was in the exact area they were examining. he said I’d be fine, then told me that about a week earlier, they had a man in who was covered in tattoos and he was fine. I’ve heard that there may be a slight discomfort, like a warming sensation, but shouldn’t be anything worse than that. plus, there was an episode of Mythbusters that busted this myth. it was on episode 19, but I can’t find a video of it.
