Generally, when you start out, you will be making less than a sonographer who has experience in the field. The salary is also going to vary depending on geographical area. But, the American Society of Radiologic Technologists just did a large salary survey. You can see how much a sonographer made, in your area, at this site:

According to PayScale.com, the median salary of an Ultrasound Tech with less than one year of experience is $19.00/hour. And for Ultrasound Techs with 1-4 years of experience, the median salary increases to $23.31/hour. Of course, salaries will vary depending on where you live, your qualifications, employment setting and other factors. To find more accurate salary data for your specific Ultrasound Tech position, you can take PayScale’s free salary survey. http://www.payscale.com/?src=yahooA

    Hope that helps,
