What is a typical day like for an Ultrasound technician?

I was going to go to school to be a nurse, but then I decided to look into becoming an ultrasound technician. So I want to know what is the day like for and ultrasound technician, thier schedule (I have a daughter so i would like a daytime job), the job description, and is this a good idea?

I dont want to be a nurse becuase the long and wierd hours wont be good for me. I dont think I could deal with the stress, and overall I just dont think I would enjoy it. But becoming an ultrasound tech seems like something I would enjoy doing and even tho the pay isnt as good as nursing, well, id rather do something I love for less money than do something that makes me miserable for more.

    It’s certainly a day job.

    From what a sonographer told me, it has it’s frustrations when doctors ask them to do pointless ultrasounds.
