What does a Radiology Technician Assistant actually do?

I’ve googled Radiology Technologist and Technician but I cannot find anything on what the Technician Assistant does. Are there any Assistants here?

Do assistants need any special kind of training? Certification? How do you like your job?
What is the salary like?

I am currently taking the prereqs for the Radiologic Technology program.

Thanks to anyone who answers.

We don’t have any where I work, but I would guess they would get patients changed for their exams, process films, stuff like that.

Depending on the location it can be a variety of responsibilities. Places I have worked at in the past have differing names for these individuals. Used to be aides, transporters, dark room assistants (when they were used), etc. It was usually an off-shift where the assistant did all of the above duties. I am sure the pay stinks, but I am believe it will be an asset when applying for a program, if you are not already in. Getting to know the other technologists and students and showing your competency is always a benefit.

If you live near a Kaiser Permanente facility look into their program in radiology, it’s a wonderful program.
