I am 34 weeks pregnant with a beautiful baby girl. The father and i split up at the very beginning. yes, i know thats bad, but now that its done, i need to know how best to take care of my baby. Im not here to bash the father and everything negative i say is 100% true. The father of my baby cannot keep a job. Just a couple weeks after learning i was pregnant he quit his job. no notice. he had worked there over a year. He moved back in with his mom. Last i knew he still smoked pot and cigarettes. We made an agreement while still dating that he would quit both by the time the baby was born. His father is a dealer. His mother and her husband are both on a bunch of medications. shes on 4 and he is on 12. The day we broke up he smoked cigarettes. He had his own pack so i can only wonder if he was smoking them the whole time, just hiding it. He lost all of my gamecube items that i lent him almost a year ago (10 or so games, the connection wires, a controller and 2 memory cards). He owes my mothers boyfriend 300 dollars for tires, because he let his get so bad that the wires were sticking out and one popped over an undamaged reflector on the road. It has been 8 or so months since then and he still hasnt paid the money back. He drove for a year and a half with the hood of his car missing and when he finally got a brand new hood, they bolted it down because he didnt have the hood latch. He overslept for the ultrasound where we found out the baby is a girl (alexandra! due 12-21-2010) and he didnt show up for the last ultrasound bc he thought it was 3 hours earlier and sat there for 20 minutes and had to leave meaning he wouldnt have been able to stay for the ultrasound anyway bc the hospital ultrasounds have longer wait time. he called my mothers phone to tell her i didnt show up for my ultrasound. My baby shower was 2 days ago. i invited his mother and he asked if he could go. i said that he could. they both said they would be there and neither showed up. He has given me 20 for diapers in the very beginning while we were still dating. I have everything for the baby. Crib, 3 car seats, clothes, my own house… a real house not apartment, and i will have my CNA license in a few weeks when i take the test. I have prepared for the test thoroughly during my pregnancy so i could get a reliable job 6 weeks after the baby is born. I have a reliable vehicle. 2003 pt cruiser with no problems and i have never been in an accident. I am 19 and he is 20. I have covered everything i thought may have an impact. I was wondering how custody would work out with all of these factors on the table.

I was looking into radiology technician classes at a technical school nearby but I’m not sure what to expect. Does anyone work in either field that could offer some advice? How do you like your job, what’s your day like, how’s the pay and is it hard to get into the work field as a new graduate? Thanks! (BTW, I live in the Southeast region and I know salaries vary by location.)

i am 21 years old and am an active automotive technician.

ive been repairing and diagnosing vehicles since i was about 14.

unfortuanetly i think i might have done something to my back

it started as a stiffness and now has progressed to constant pain and swelling in my back. i am still working because i love what i do and leaving my job or doing something else really isnt an option for me as i have taken all my certifications and come way too far in this field.

its hard to describe the pain or the exact location. i know for a fact its not a muscle because i can feel it in my spine. im constantly trying to crack my back or stretch it to get any kind of relief but it is only temporary or makes it worse… its not exactly lower back. but its not in the middle either. just alittle lower than the middle of my back.

my only problem is that i do not currently have health insurance. so an mri is kinda out of the question atleast for about 3 more months until my health insurance is back.

unfortuanetly this pain is awful and is constantly making my days harder. it seems to be getting worse with time.

sleep is a constant struggle as i wake up many times a night to either get up and stretch or to change positions.

the pain first started about a year or so ago. doctor originally thought it was a muscle. gave me every muscle relaxer he could think of. physical therapy also and none of it helped.

the only thing that helped my pain was either hydrocodone or oxycodone. i had a bottle of 15 hydrocodone 5mg/500′s from an e.r. visit and i was taking halves and it lasted me almost a month. didnt exactly take the pain away but helped atleast for a couple hours.

i was gonna goto my doctor and pay myself. i want to try to explain to him that i need something for pain. just until i get health insurance back and i can get an mri and get it taken care of for real, not just covered up by pills.

my only fear is, is that im only 21 yrs old and i dont know if my doctor will be comfortable with prescribing me hydrocodone or oxycodone due to fear of abuse or addiction, due to all the people taking advantage of their doctors or faking or whatever pathetic things people do for drugs now.

i have no history of drug or alchohol dependance and ive had the same family doctor since i was 10 yrs old. does anybody have any suggestions for me?

work and sleep are the worst times for me. its almost unbearable at times. it would be a godsend to have something to control my pain. atleast temporarily till i can get this problem fixed.
forgot to mention i have been to a chiro many times..didnt help. only made the pain worse for a few days till it went back to the normal pain…

Rainy Daze – No i won’t be working 3 jobs but i would get paid more yearly because I would be qualified to do 3 different things. So instead of a hospital hiring me to just do X-Rays I could work in X-Rays everyday but if a worker in ultrasound or CT/MRI called in sick and they were short of workers I would be qualified to do those things so I could work mutiple places in the hospital and common since tells me they would pay me more to stay there since I had more degrees!! That’s why I was wondering what my estimated yearly salary would be cause I can’t find it online anywhere.
