Is the Radiology Tech. program at Mary Washington Hospital worth the tuition money?

I am interested in becoming a Radiology Technician, so I went online to look up schools that offered that program. One school said it would take 2 years, and cost almost ,000.00!!! Then I found, Mary Washington Hospital (in Fredricksburg, Va) and they offer a program there and it’s only ,500.00. I was wondering if anyone had and information about this, if so…PLEASE LET ME KNOW!

Hi, I was hoping to get the opinions of some people about what my best option would be in regards to academics…

Currently, I’m in New York studying at St. John’s University as an accounting major with scholarships paying most of it… I really like New York and I really like my major but i feel like i’m out of place and heading down the wrong path…

I’ve lived in new york for about a month but am from LA, california and tend to get homesick. Instead of pursuing a bachelor’s degree (or master’s degree) i’ve thought about going to community college back in cali to first get my EMT license then continue that path to become a radiology tech. I’ve volunteered for years in an ER and a radiology department of a hospital and loved the atmospere, the jobs of EMTs and x-ray techs, as well as the work they had…

Should i drop this semester and enroll in community college or stick with the bachelors degree (i’ll walk out with ,000 in debt after 4 years)? I’m concerned people will thinking i’m just trying to wimp out of my major… how should i respond to this?

So im a freshman in high school and i was thinking about a career. I want to be a ultrasound tech. But i heard the salary is just 65,000 a year. Would that be enough to just support me if i lived in Georgia? or Florida? Could i buy a house? and could a support a family?

I am in my first semester of college, and plan on getting a bachelors degree. I really have an undecided major at this point, but am interested in being an ultrasound technician. However, I am getting very tired of my retail job and am starting to think about getting my associates degree and certificate to get an ultrasound job quicker. I still want to retain my bachelors.. so I was wondering if it is possible to work part time as an ultrasound technician so that I can continue on with school as well.

I’m debating between two careers either Radiology tech or Nurse. I am told that their salaries average about the same. However there seems to be more options in Nursing to gain more education and earn a better salary? For example, Nurses can advance to higher positions that offers a better salary. Is this possible for Radiology Techs as well? Are there opportunities to advance in radiology? Specific details are appreciated! thanks!
