I’m currently living in Cincinnati and in a years time will most likely be moving to LA with my boyfriend. I’m currently in school to be an MRI Technician (as a sort of last resort back-up plan), and I’m currently a waitress and an aspiring actress. He is in school for electrical engineering. Obviously, we’re young and we really enjoy nightlife and an upbeat area and have no intentions of having children in the next few years. So, does anyone have any recommendations on neighborhoods/areas that would be good and leaning on the inexpensive side?
Just to add on… I understand that living in LA is expensive, especially compared to Cincinnati, etc. When I say inexpensive, I mean nothing too outrageous. I don’t want to spend thousands of dollars when I can’t afford that. I’m not even sure what a waitress usually averages in LA. I know what it averages in Cincinnati, and it pays the bills.

I have a Bachelor’s in Health Administration from an Accredited University and I was thinking about going to school to become a ultrasound tech/diagnostic sonographer. I graduated a more than a few months ago and I have not been able to find a job probably because of the economy. I feel like I am wasting my time waiting and looking for a job, so I have decided to go back to school to make use of my free time. I have been looking into becoming a radiology tech or ultrasound tech, but I am leaning more towards ultrasound tech. I have a few questions.
1. Would I be wasting my bachelor degree to become an ultrasound tech?
2. What specific positions can I move up to in sonography or radiology?
3. Or what would you suggest in my situation (I have work experience but not in health care) ?
Thank you so much for your help!!!
