]]> I’ve decided to quit my job to help take care of my crippled mom while I finish Radiology Technician school (only 1 year to go!).

The hard part is telling my bosses that they’re gonna lose their nanny (of 5 years) in less than 4 months (when my mom has her surgery). Seeings as how I am the nanny/housekeeper/kiddo chauffeur they are NOT going to like it.

]]> I’m going to school right now to be a Radiology Technician. In my past I have quit quite a few jobs after working for less than a month and I’m not proud of it. I’m wondering if I will have a hard time finding a job after I’m done with school if employers do background checks and see my sketchy employement history. Will they really care if I didn’t work more than a month at McDonald’s and Taco Bell when I have gone to school to get a degree for my future career?

]]> I’m looking for a serious career change, and I really want to make sure it’s a stable field – especially since I have a family to support. I’ve done my research, and BLS.gov (among others) states that radiation therapy is an excellent choice due to salary and job outlook over the next ~10 years, but I’d really like to hear from Radiation students, graduates, and therapists – if possible. I’ve seen a few threads actually condemning Radiation Therapy as a “dead field”, due to the over-saturation and lack of job openings…
