]]> I tried nursing but failed miserably so I got a health studies degree instead. I am a certified pharmacy technician at CVS.

So now I am wondering where to go from here. I am great with computers but I would prefer to stay on my feet and mobile. I will start the physical therapy assistant program in the fall and I am on the waiting list for radiology technologist which was what I really wanted to do. I have all of the prereq’s for both.

So now I am wondering if I should take a fast ekg course and just wait for radiology. I love human anatomy. I turning 23 this summer so I don’t want to wait forever for a decent job. Any advise would be great. Thank you!

]]> I’m on active duty in the military and would like to eventually earn certification as a Dental Hygienist in Pennsylvania. For now, I’d like to get started earning a cert for radiology, so that upon getting out I can find a job as an assistant while I’m going to school for hygiene.

Is there a test I can study for or do I need a hands-on course to get qualified? I’ve searched around some on the internet but would prefer someone with experience explaining the process to me.

]]> I know that a person can study for Pharm Tech certification test at home and get certified that way (instead of taking a formal class)….are there other types of allied health technician certifications that a person can study for at home, rather than taking an expensive course? ]]> I have a friend who would like to pursue a career in the radiology field. He says he will do a 1 year certification and get a job in the field. I looked up the pay and its /hr. so that is about 8 a day and 0 a week (assuming 8 hour shifts). This is about 00 a month and this is BEFORE taxes. After taxes i am guessing it will be about 00 even.. I pointed out to him that that is not even enough to live on and he will be sinking probably OVER ,000 into school.

He insists he will make more and I am wrong about these figures. I dont see that happening.

MY QUESTION: Does anyone know what the average and MAX pay is for a 1 year certification in this field (LIMITED RADIOLOGICAL TECHNICIAN). He lives in Texas now and wants to relocate up north so if you know average /MAX salary by region that is helpful. Thanks.
