Radiologic Technology Bachelor’s Degree Vs. Associate’s Degree?
With an Associate’s Degree you would have to continue your education in order to specialize in CT, MRI Sonography etc. I know that with a Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology you are qualified for a management position, but also in a Bachelor’s Degree program are you trained to specialize in CT, MRI, Sonography etc. ?

With a RT license (no matter the type of schooling), you can cross-train into MRI and CT. CT and MRI are learned on the job. Once you graduate from an accredited RT program, and get your license, your education no longer matters. A prospective employer could care less if you graduated from a certificate, AS or BS program….they just want you to have that RT license. I graduated from a hospital based program, got only a certificate, and I make more money, where I work, than a co-worker who has a BS. The more licenses you have, the more money you make. With my certificate, upon graduation, I got my RT and fluoroscopy license. A year later, I was licensed in mammography, a couple of years later I got my CT license, then finally my MRI license.
To be licensed in ultrasound, you need some more schooling, no matter what type of RT program you attended.
