Radiation Therapy Job Opportunities?
Okay, my mom has always told me that if you have a health career, you can go anywhere you want because those jobs are needed everywhere. So I decided to go into Radiation Therapy Technology. But today I did a test job search, and I found NO job listings on Monster, and only 7 on Yahoo. So my question is this- is Radiation Therapy a job where you can go anywhere, and if not, what is?

Radiation Therapy is a good occupation. It may be difficult to find a job where you live, and, it’s very wise of you to do job searches. The hospital I work in offers free tuition if you continue your education in other areas of radiology where there are shortages. You need to apply at the facilities you are interested in and let them know if you are willing to work in other areas of radiology. You may have to move to get a job you want.

Search for “Radiation Therapist”, that is the correct job title. It looks like a GREAT choice, with starting pay between 55-75k a year.

I’m not sure if you mean Radiological Technician, which is always in high demand. Rad Tech jobs pay very well, even for beginners, and if you can specialize in Open MRIs or Mammo, you’ll do even better. I know senior rad techs making over $100K. Check the listings on Monster for “Radiological Technicians”.
