I am looking to start a new career as a X-Ray technician, where do I start. Can I start online?

I live in San Diego County, 41 years old, stay home dad with three kids, I do part time Ebay for some extra income, and my wife has a great job. My youngest will be in kindergarten this year, And I will be looking into getting training for a new path in life. I am hearing that the medical field is a good direction to move towards, specifically radiology, X Ray Tech maybe?
Where do I start???

Pharmacy tech, nurse, radiology technician, is there any career where you won’t feel like you are giving a lot of yourself, esp. to the patient? Right now I am doing private security which does not make to much money but allows for sleeping on the job.
I am thinking a nurse I would feel more like a waiter or servant their for the patient and I would not like tha.

I’m considering majoring as a radiology technician. A friend informed me that instead of going to school for two whole years that I could get a certificate that would take a few months, get an actual job (so that I can start making money) and then they’d pay for my education if I wanted to further myself in that field.

First of all, i wanted to know if that is true.
Secondly, what’s the difference in pay for a radiology technician who went to school for two years as opposed to one who just got the certificate?

I’m going to school to be a radiology technician. But I am wondering since I have to wait two years to even get into the program at the college that I am at if maybe i should pursue something else while waiting.
What is the best kind of job to get into besides retail. I am an assistant manager at a Subway resturaunt. Is there anything that I can do with some education, and that title that’ll help me earn more than 15,000 a year? Any suggestions besdies seeling my self or stripping are appreciated.

I’ve decided to quit my job to help take care of my crippled mom while I finish Radiology Technician school (only 1 year to go!).

The hard part is telling my bosses that they’re gonna lose their nanny (of 5 years) in less than 4 months (when my mom has her surgery). Seeings as how I am the nanny/housekeeper/kiddo chauffeur they are NOT going to like it.

I’m going to school right now to be a Radiology Technician. In my past I have quit quite a few jobs after working for less than a month and I’m not proud of it. I’m wondering if I will have a hard time finding a job after I’m done with school if employers do background checks and see my sketchy employement history. Will they really care if I didn’t work more than a month at McDonald’s and Taco Bell when I have gone to school to get a degree for my future career?

Which medical jobs don’t involve wound care like RN’s?

I had been planning on going to college to become a Physical Therapist since it would be a secure job but the mediocre pay to 7 years of college ratio has kind of turned me away from it. I would still like to go in the medical field because I like helping people but don’t want to do wound care or surgery like RN’s do.

Are there any other jobs in that field that if I have to go to college for 7 or 8 years that the pay will be closer to 100K? I have looked at Physical Therapy, Radiology Technician, and am going to look into Pharmacy. Do you have any other ideas?

I start school next month for becoming a xray/radiology technician and i wanted to know some more information about it.

I really want to know how much they make. i know it varies on where u live and so forth but if you are an xray technician or know somebody who is how much do they make an hour?

also what are the dutys on the job and what all will i be learning in school?

and whats the WORST part about this job?
