A friend informed me that instead of going to school for two whole years that I could get a certificate that would take a few months, get an actual job (so that I can start making money) and then they’d pay for my education if I wanted to further myself in that field.

First of all, i wanted to know if that is true.
Secondly, what’s the difference in pay for a radiology technician who went to school for two years as opposed to one who just got the certificate?

thank you very much, guys!

I’m wondering if I will have a hard time finding a job after I’m done with school if employers do background checks and see my sketchy employement history. Will they really care if I didn’t work more than a month at McDonald’s and Taco Bell when I have gone to school to get a degree for my future career?

I had been planning on going to college to become a Physical Therapist since it would be a secure job but the mediocre pay to 7 years of college ratio has kind of turned me away from it. I would still like to go in the medical field because I like helping people but don’t want to do wound care or surgery like RN’s do.

Are there any other jobs in that field that if I have to go to college for 7 or 8 years that the pay will be closer to 100K? I have looked at Physical Therapy, Radiology Technician, and am going to look into Pharmacy. Do you have any other ideas?
