Maybe for a travel tech in desperate times who has the ability to do MRI, CT, mamms, interventional, sonography, nuclear medicine, and radiation therapy! Diagnostic refers to x-ray, MRI, CT, nuclear medicine, mammography and sonography, as opposed to Interventional radiology, which involves things like angioplasty, thrombolysis, atherectomy, embolization of bleeding vessels and occlusion of brain aneurysms. Accredited radiologic technology programs are generally 40 hours per week for 2 years, after you have your prerequisites. Check out the occupational outlook handbook it will provide you with accurate info. on the subject. Just type it in a search engine. Also, I do know for certain that Vascular Sonography is a very lucrative career that is quite similar to radiology, and you only need an associates degree…you should look into that.
