Education Requirements For Diagnostic Radiology?
I am interested in pursuing a career in Diagnostic Radiology. Unfortunately, I did not continue with my education after HS. Considering I do not have an AA, how many years of school/internships is required to become a Diagnostic Radiologist from start to finish? Also, from what I hear they have little patient contact. Do they discuss their findings with the patients at all or do they only discuss it with the patients doctor?
Any help or insight about this career would be appreciated. thanks

For the most part, the radiologist doesn’t talk to patients. They dictate reports that go to the ordering physicians, and sometimes call them directly if there is a significant finding.
