Does anyone knows about a good Ultrasound Technician school in central florida?
I am interested in career change and I like the Ultrasound Technician program, I live in the Orlando area and I was told of several schools and institutes in the area (such as University of Phoenix, ITT tech, DeVry University, Everest Univ., etc ) that supposedly have that program I just do not know what of those schools would be better than the others specifically for that program, can anybody in the area of Ultrasound and of course in the Orlando area give an idea? I greatly appreciate it

I would try to stay away from the types of schools you listed. They typically charge insane amounts of money but get people in by having shorter programs that you can start soon. They usually do no have good reputations in the Sonography community & are usually not accredited.
Look for an *accredited* program at a technical college that offers an Associate’s in Diagnostic Medical Sonography; there are 14 programs in FL: http://www.caahep.org/Find-An-Accredited-Program/

I agree with the other postee about those online, for-profit schools such as the university of phoenix, capella, ITT tech, strayer, everest, sanford brown, argosy, kaplan, ashworth, devry, keiser, excelsior, walden and others as they are merely out to ‘make a profit’ (and course credits may NOT transfer to other schools). This consumer site has many posts about those online, for-profit schools: http://www.ripoffreport.com and can search.
For general career info: http://www.bls.gov/oco and can search ‘diagnostic medical sonographers’ or such. Please make sure that the program is accredited within the industry such as the other site that was provided to search for accredited programs.
Please also forgo those private $$ for-profit tech schools for sonography (or any trade) and instead consider the community college or traditional university. For US colleges: http://www.utexas.edu/world/univ
