Difference Between An X-ray Tech And An Ultrasound Tech?

Excuse me if I’m not using the proper terms for these jobs.
I was just wondering what the actual difference was between an X-Ray Tech, and an Ultrasound Tech. I’m trying to determine which of those two career paths I would like to follow. Also if someone could also let me know the yearly salary difference, that would be a great help. Thanks!

The correct titles are radiologic technologist and sonographer.
Radiologic technologists are the medical personnel who perform diagnostic imaging examinations (x-ray, CT, MRI) or administer radiation therapy treatments.
Sonographers use sound waves to obtain images of organs and tissues in the body. During an ultrasound examination, the sonographer places a transducer in contact with the patient’s body. It emits high-frequency sound waves that pass through the body, sending back “echoes” as they bounce off organs and tissues. Special computer equipment converts those echoes into visual data.

an x-ray tech normally deals with the visuals of your bones..determining breaks, fractures etc.. while a Ultrasound Tech. deals with visualizing your inside organs to determine pregnancy, or any problems dealing with your organs
