Can You Work As A Limited X-ray Tech But Still Go To School For Radiology Tech?

Hello,
Right now im in the process of applying for the X-ray Tech program but it is limited licensing program. The Radiology program is also a yr which makes the whole program a 2yr program. I know there are employers that hire limited X-Ray tech. My questions is could it be possible to work say part time as a limited X-Ray Tech while going to school for Radiology Tech??
Is this possible?
The school that I am going offers limited X-Ray Tech program (1yr)
Radiology Tech Program (1yr) which, turns out to be 2 yrs.
Thank’s for those who answer!

Depends on what state we’re talking about. Here’s the following states I know that don’t permit limited license. CT, MD, MA, MS, and NY.
Ask your school what the scope of practice is in your state. You may have additional restrictions as a limited xray tech such as limited body parts that you can shoot, supervision, unable to use contrast, and so forth.

It’s very serious & important work that has a lot of responsibilities & you need the training before
you actually get the job.I have heard of you’re working in the medical care system already and
you wish to work as a X-Ray tech,in some hospitals will accept you 4 the job because you’re familiar with the health care system and it’ll be easy to train better than outsiders.
    Good luck.
